Curriculum objectives and blueprinting

Each of the FRCEM Intermediate Examinations (SJP and SAQ) are mapped to the competencies of the Emergency Medicine 2015 Curriculum. This is available on the Royal College of Emergency Medicine website.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates can sit the FRCEM Intermediate examinations if:
– The hold a medical qualification approved by the General Medical Council (GMC) and
– Have completed the UK Foundation Programme  or equivalent
– Has passed the MRCEM A examination (before July 2016) or the FRCEM Primary examination (after August 2016) or
– Has been granted exemption from the FRCEM Primary examination as a result of obtaining MRCS or MRCSI after January 2017
